Get to Know Me
Hello!
I am a professional violinist and private teacher in the Boston Area. I received my Master of Music in violin performance from New England Conservatory and my Bachelor of Arts from Williams College, majoring in math and music.I maintain an active schedule of orchestral and chamber playing. I currently play with the Boston Philharmonic, among other orchestras in the greater Boston area, and am a chamber coach at New England Conservatory’s preparatory school.At NEC, I studied with Soovin Kim and worked closely with the Borromeo String Quartet studying chamber music. While at Williams, I cofounded the Axxea String Quartet, giving notable performances at Bargemusic and Lincoln Center among other venues, and premiered chamber works by Zachary Wadsworth and Steve Dankner. I was also the Concertmaster and Co-Music Director of the Chamber Orchestra of Williams. In 2019, I won the Berkshire Symphony Concerto Competition and performed Chausson’s Poeme. I was also on the board of directors for Williams’ I/O Festival and was a featured soloist.I have received numerous scholarships and awards. I am the proud recipient of a scholarship made possible by the Harold Whitworth Pierce Charitable Trust Endowment for Financial Aid. I was also a recipient of the South Mountain Music Association Scholarship, the Stilton Music Scholarship, as well as the Roche Grant.I am also a passionate jazz guitarist and love to take any chance I can to incorporate jazz sensibilities into my classical playing! I currently live in Jamaica Plain and can often be seen running around the JP pond or playing tennis or pickleball.If you are interested in taking a lesson please email me!
